Artist description Glittertind is a "one-mans project" where Trym is the featuring artist. The name "Glittertind" has been adopted from the name of the highest mountain in the mountain range"Jotunheimen" in Norway. "Jotunheimen" is a beautiful, majestetic and very mystic mountain range. Trym is a seventeen year old(born 1985)nature lover from Norway. The music he makes is nature romantic and national romantic. Often it has folk tunes in it. Some songs are covers of elder melodies which have been turned into a bit "modernized" sound. Glittertind is not a band which claims that "everything was so much nicer before". But if you want to understand the future, you've got to understand the past. And in times of Americanization where everything is influenced by a globalized economic culture, the issue of knowing your culture is maybe more important, than ever. Modern national romantic music as well as nature romantic music, have many times been connected with racism. Glittertind is not a political band and does NOT support this kind of opinions or behavior. The influences to Trym is mainly folkmusic, punk, metal, rock, but of course also old national romantic art, tales and traditions from Scandinavia...
