Artist History Simply put… We are a supercharged five-piece rock/metal/punk band determined to rattle the roof, make you move, jump up and down, bob your head, take it to the head, type of rock band. Current members reside in Orange County and San Diego, CA. We created the concept for distemper in early 1999, we have been gigging throughout Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Las Vegas, and other areas ever since. Our sound is best described as Alternative rock. Our common influences contain the best elements found in rock music, metal music, punk music, and a little reggae music. The heart and sole of our music is founded by strong dynamic song creation and a no poser, honest and emotional delivery of song lyrics. Whether our audience is five people or five thousand people, we will move you or we will play our hearts our trying. The energy at our shows is infectious and it will not take long for you or anyone to embrace the captivating lyrics, driving bass lines, and warming guitar riffs. We play music because we love music. We play for our friends (fans are friends as far as we are concerned). There is no greater feeling than being on stage while becoming completely absorbed into the music with our audience. We have successfully gigged with reggae bands, punk bands, rock bands, metal bands, and alternative rock bands. Our music seems to fit well with most genres. We have played on stage, in parks, at skate parks, in stores, in backyards, and even in a living room or two. We will play anywhere if the situation is right.
