    Artist History
The Ho-Chi-Minhs formed in 1994 in Germantown, Wisconsin. They originally formed under the name 'Como Es Juan' but changed it to The Ho-Chi-Minhs for reasons unremembered. For years the band struggled with a lack of members who could play instruments, relying on a strange simulated trumpet noise and a ukelele for instrumentation. In the fall of 1996, The Ho-Chi-Minhs acquired a drummer and a guitarist, but relations in the band quickly dissolved. The Ho-Chi-Minhs broke up in 1998 and became two seperate bands. In the year 2000 one of the founding Minhs taught himself to play the guitar and enlisted his former songwriting partner to reform The Ho-Chi-Minhs. Another original member was brought back for moral support. The Ho-Chi-Minhs recorded two new songs in the year 2000, embryotic versions of 'Nude Rock Star' and 'Country Classic.' Those songs, along with two others were recorded in the winter of 2001 and put onto a demo CD entitled 'Gettin' Caught In Footy Pajamas.' The following spring The Ho-Chi-Minhs began work on their next EP, 'Clap Along ('Cause We Can't).'
