Artist History
Real Tomato Ketchup was created in the living room
of the band's basist, Joey Difranco. Joey, along
with Ryan Grim and Jordan Posner started a band
with the percussionist extrodinair, Joe Mckinnon.
Joe was kicked out of the band due to not enough
talent and the three dredged on. About 3 months
from the birth of the band they decided to bring
in the saxophone master Rem Merry. Shortly after
Rem's induction into the band, Joey, Ryan and
Jordan brought in their close friend, Dan Grueber
to accompany the band on drums. Now that the band
was finaly complete they started to rehearse, and
record. Although the band had recorded Seven
Short Songs when they were first born they decided to
start recording some new material. Soon the new
album Guava Lava was born, although the recognized
Guava Lava album today is different from the original
it still contains some of the first songs
ever recorded as a full band. The band played it's
first gig shortly after recording the original
Guava Lava. This show was at a close friends
Birthday Party. Although this show was not a total
success the band still played on. Real Tomato Ketchup,
RTK, grew stronger and stronger and was now gaining
support from long time friend John Kennard. The band
broke up due to some tension among band members
but the band members realized that the band was more
important than the little matters that created the
tension, so the band reformed and has had more drive
than ever before. With many new songs coming to light
the band has nothing but good things to come. |
