Artist History
One of several bands that helped to shape and mold the Indianapolis Punk Scene in the Mid-1990s. New Direction (who previously had went by the name "The Commies") was a group of high school friends that played catchy, melodic yet emotional and heavy-edged punk rock.
Members have since created new staples to the Indianapolis Punk Scene such as: Spicolie, Project Bottlecap, Johnny Angel, Better Off Dead, Edinburgh, Tru Blu, Something Gone Wrong, Sweet Misery, and several others. |

Group Members
Throughout the band's lifespan several members helped form the band New Direction, so many that it was hard to keep track. |
