Artist History
all three points of the revolutionary triangle are steeped in a deep musical history. jason lee marshall (age 23 / phat frequencies), grandson of juda - the folk-uke player of the gritty northern clubs of the '40s - is, with his dose of proletariat left-wing truths, a billy bragg of his time. jase has paid his dues busking coffee shops and country clubs across america opening for down on their luck late '80s rock bands unfortunate enough to still be slogging it out in the mid-nineties.
m (age 22 / melodies, higher frequencies, sequencing), son of composer for welsh language kitchen sink films of the '50s and '60s - dylan hughes - made a name for himself in amsterdam playing guitar with new wave band "the crippled agamemnon", headlining and selling out on numerous occasions the 'melkweg'. he then returned home for the sake of science.
finally, jonny (age 24 / the beat, the soul, the heartbreak), onetime lead snare player with the 'scottish national bagpipe ensemble'. having toured egypt, south africa and germany performing before royalty and dignitaries, he gave up the decadence for the backbeat pulse that was driving his heart to form '5 revolutionary seconds'. |
