Artist History
Sometime in the summer of 2001 one band members Kyle Reeths and Blade Bolduc were watching television and listening to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Suddenly Kyle said, "Hey. Wanna start a ska band?" And it was decided.
There was a bass player and trumpet player. All they needed was the rest of the bands and to buy a trumpet. Kyle had started a previous gone nowhere punk band and recruited Derek Westjohn, the guitarist, from it. Weeks past and nothing had really happened. Everyday in school Blade and Kyle talked to John Scott while walking from class to class. Once day Kyle was informed by Blade that John was in band and played the trombone. Coincidently, he also like the ska music. Peer pressure successfully suckered John into joining as well as gaining a drummer from Jake Fischer.
With a full band formed we proceded to practice. No real song writing. Just playing cover songs without even horns involved. We wrote about 3 songs using everyone, signed up for the battle of the bands, and didn't win one award.
We went on to write a few more songs until Marc Johnson said that it would be cool if he brought in his sax and jammed with us. We set something up and snagged him in to play with us(when not learning in college). Since then we have played a good amount of shows and grown a reputation by playing with Mustard Plug, Big D and the Kids Table and other local bands. |
