Artist description
Mark Harvey writes guitar led Americana /Country / Crossover songs with his main influences being the likes of The Eagles, Dire Straits, James Taylor and Faith Hill.
His music draws on an eclectic range of styles ranging from the jangling rock of Full Moon through to big production ballads like The Thing I Do The Best, laid back Latino inspired rhythms such as Sister Salvation, the R & B overtones of Back To The Country and the folksy, lilting slow-waltz time of Ribbons & Blows and Time Is A Healer.
In many ways, his songs are in the singer-songwriter mould with his own test being that each song should be capable of being performed by a single acoustic guitar and vocal. This actually means that a number of his songs are capable of being arranged and produced in a number of different styles to suit a particular artist although he himself naturally gravitates towards the Americana /Country sound.
His arrangements are typically acoustic led and based around his 12-string rhythmic finger-picking style superimposed with layers of piano, electric and classical guitar, ethereal strings and with pedal steel and occasional fiddle providing the country flavours.

Artist History
After experimenting with a number of styles and sounds, he was commissioned in the early 1990’s to write three guitar led instrumentals for a commercial video and which led to him developing his country / crossover inspired repertoire which has continued to dominate his writing ever since.
A No.3 slot with Thrill Me in the MP3.com Americana’ chart and the securing of a recent management deal have encouraged him to look to be more proactive and visible in relation to the marketing of his material.
