Artist description The Lava Rats are a San Francisco-based surf trio. Playing a mix of classic surf, ‘50s rock and fresh new originals, this group of musicians blend together to create a sound unlike any other. Bill Bergstrom surfs the wild six-string, as well as adding the vocal work to earn the title of “Big Kahuna” of the band. Kenan O’Brien lays down the bass lines as powerful and straight-ahead as a longboard plowing it’s way off a curl. Kicking in with a beat steadier than waves hitting the beach is Taylor Still. When these three come together, they produce a sound bigger than the swells at Mavericks. So strap your boards to the top of your hot rod and come out to make the scene.
