Press Reviews
In Kirriemuir, at the heart of the famed fruit picking Vale of Strathmore, the town can claim J M Barrie, David Niven and Bon Scott as home grown talent.
Just a few miles to the west, in Blairgowrie, living legend Allan Seggie is a local hero.
Allan leads his power blues rock trio The Glebe Street Blues Band from the front.
Taking their name from the pages of DC Thomson's comics, The Glebe Street Blues Band have been cutting a menacing swathe through the Scottish bar, small venue and bike rally scene for the past five years.
In a country famous for its great blues guitarists, Allan Seggie is up there with the best. He is a guitarist of taste, flair and no little skill. Add to that the licks, chops and solos and an ability to make blues fun.
Ably supported by Gary Cree on bass and Billy Petrie on drums, the band take you on a trip through the best parts of blues and rock, visiting Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Dr Feelgood and ZZ Top en route in a live show that is both wildly exciting and emotionally charged.
They have also just released their debut CD, "Dukebox".
