Artist History
Charreaux and Appleman met while working on a music therapy soundtrack for the Amsterdam Autistic Children’s Hospice. In San Francisco, they started the label, Californium, and released three EPs and a full-length CD. Their latest CD, Heroin Geek-the movie, is on Denver’s Lost Arts label. Ultraviolet Eye also released a live album on Listen Loudest and an EP on Demolition, both in Europe.
Ultraviolet Eye has appeared live and on compilations along side such artists as Beck and Sonic Youth and has contributed songs to films at Cal Arts, Loyola Marymount and Art Center. Alternative and independent in spirit, Ultraviolet Eye’s music has been praised by a diverse range of reviewers from Maximum RockandRoll and Alternative Press to CMJ, Tower Pulse and the Boston Phoenix |

Group Members
Ultraviolet Eye is lead by two former altar boys - singer, guitarist, songwriter Jeff Charreaux and Roy Appleman on bass and piccolo, working with a wide array of drummers, from Victor Indrizzo (Macy Gray, Beck), Lucky Lehrer (Circle Jerks) to Ron Smith (Bed of Eyes). |
