    Artist History
After watching The Beatle film, "Let it Be", Brad Ashlock quipped to his cousin, Matt Reda, "I bet I can play guitar as good as Lennon." Matt laughed, as Brad could not play a lick. Brad, annoyed, bought some strings for his old guitar, tuned it best he could, then went through an old chord book mastering C and G. Soon, other chords followed. His first mega-hit, "I've Got to Go to the Store", did not bring much praise from his friends as he belted it out over the phone; still, Matt, not to be out done, decided to pick up a bass and be Paul McCartney. The third member of the group, the so-called "Lost Umbrella" (Umbella had become the name of their "band"), met and married a German girl, but, unfortnately, suffered an anerism brought on by alcoholism and two-facedness. Several "recording sessions" took place, producing the hits "Weddings of the Year", "Water Don't (Drown the Bridge)", and "Admiral Crisp". Brad, tired of the groupies and cocaine, and having not recorded in 4 years, called his former partner, Matt (studying in London), and asked him to record one more time, a kind of "eternal return". Matt left Cambridge and rushed back to Detroit to create new songs using "computer technology". The album, due to Matt's overbearing need to be the boss, coupled with Brad's new addiction to cough drops, almost stalled before it even got off the ground. After a year of sitting on the shelf, Matt returned to London and finished "The Eternal Return", doubtlessly their final collaboration, at Abby Road Studios. It was their swan song.
