Artist description
What sounds like a dangerous explicative is actually one of the hardest hitting bands in the Inland Empire. Ruling out of Redlands Funkin’A has found there new sound to be aggressive and jumping. What was before a live funk/rock feel is now a driving, alternative rock that is sure to make you bounce. Funkin’A s new music is a mix of groove, metal, and hip-hop with nothing but bad ass arrangements. It has been a long break but well worth it. This next album is sure to blow you speakers. For those of you who loved the pop songs like “Down” and “Hey Girl”, don’t be discourage. We have a whole new set of great songs that surpass the last CD’s production. |

Press Reviews
Local boys Funkin'A opened the evening with a set that ncluded covers and original material. Raoul Ranoa, on lead guitar, wailed throughout the evening, putting on a spectacualr display of musicianship with virtuoso adaptability and mprovisation. Bass player Diuno Baldwin plucked and strummed with a blazing intensity to match Ranoa's, and drummer Derek Odem kept the beat. Frontman Shane Hughes smiled and played to the crwod through the entire set. He seemed to be having fun doing what he was doing and his positive attitude was infectious. |
