Artist History
ANGIESCREAMS is a three piece hard rock band out of nyc. Arthur met Ricc in some shady bar and Ricc found Maxi from Kirk. Arthur Lynn, lead singer and guitarist of ANGIESCREAMS, began his career as a shy, awkward, guitar freak from New Jersey. After endless picking and obsessing over Mr. Hendrix, Arthur sent home demos to several publications and immediately got featured in Guitar World and Guitar Player magazines. This gave him worldwide exposure and fans throughout, receiving letters from Japan, Brazil, England, Spain, Australia, and New Jersey. Arthur was touted as a "teenage virtuoso" and "one of the up and coming monsters" with a "gigantic sound."
By 19 Arthur decided to study classical guitar at the fabled Berklee College of Music. He met the top players in the school and formed the band BIG WORLD. Immediately they were the talk of the Boston music scene and were sent to New York City to record at Sony Music Studios with the magical Danny Kadar (Iggy Pop, Chris Whitley, Soul Asylum). They decided to move the band to New York, but as things turn out, only Arthur did.
Arthur stayed in the Big Apple and formed his next project WAX with Atlantic Records Recording artist Jorden Tepper (JT). Again, his band became one of the hottest groups frequently playing Webster Hall, Coney Island High, and Mercury Lounge, opening for national acts coming through town.
Arthur started working with new manager Alicia Gelernt (Patti Rothberg) and was introduced to his next partner in crime, Nick Fowler. They created the band MOTHER and were put in the studio with Godfrey Diamond (Aerosmith, Lou Reed). They began showcasing for major and independent labels and became one of the first signings to Al Teller's infamous Atomic Pop Records (Teller was the former head of MCA and president of Warner Brothers). Arthur and Nick began writing songs for films like Columbia's Tri Star motion picture "Mercy" featuring the song "Goodbye."
Arthur decided to pursue more session work and began working for EMI and Sony Records which in 2000, released the album "Sky with Stars," by the artist herself, MICHAL.
In 2001, Arthur met Ricc Sheridan, former Lenny Kravitz and Stephan Jenkins drummer. They formed ANGIESCREAMS. ANGIE has been showcasing in NYC and will be coming soon to a theatre near you. |
