Artist History Sean Michel has been a professional musician from the age of 17, playing in various types of projects. His music was born of a desire to worship God, and after years of maturing has proven itself to be poignant in its conviction and emotion. Sean has strong roots in the church and gospel music, and his music owes a lot to the legacy of classic hymns and black gospel. He has led music in churches all over the world, from Taiwan to Africa and was a part of the OBU Refuge band that played weekly dates in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. After playing in several bands, Sean has now independently released his debut solo project. While staying to his roots, his more recent material is also influenced by the indie rock scene. The music of Pedro the Lion, Dashboard Confessional, TwoThirtyEight, and Further Seems Forever has greatly impacted his solo material. Sean also owes much to the soul of the Delta Blues tradition, as well as to the social consciousness of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan.
