Artist description
Take your average singer-songwriter, subtract a knack for guitar playing, add a penchant for odd percussion, random instruments and a fervent wish to someday have a band consisting of guitar, djembes, bagpipes, and four part vocals (possibly heavy on the electronics)....and you might get me. Maybe.
In all seriousness, I'm a singer first, a songwriter second, and a guitarist dead last. I write acoustic folk/rock/pop that's basically fun for me to sing...and I I'm not worthy of the gorgeous Dean I get to play.
Did I mention that I specialize in improvisation? |

Artist History
I started singing about the moment I was born, though I didn't start formal training until age 11. I did choral work throughout middle and high schools and did a great deal of competitive singing (solo and ensemble, honors choirs, etc.). After I spent nine months in Pittsburgh discovering that I didn't want to be an engineer, I made my way to Atlanta and started learning the guitar as a foundation for songwriting. Six years later, I'm a terrible guitarist, but I can write a decent song.
Currently, I'm collaborating with two fabulous musicians in Chicago in an acoustic-based folk group called Reckless Truth Pail. You can check us out at http://www.rtpband.com.
