Artist description
Formed in October of 2001, the Kentucky-based East 146 was brought to life as a three piece ensemble. However, quickly adding another guitarist, the now four piece went through multiple line-up changes until finally settling on Chris Stahl (vocals and guitar), Devin O’Daniel (percussion), Chris Cross (guitar), and Nathan Rogers (bass guitar). The band’s strongest link is the common goal of writing and performing unique and cutting edge rock. The band has been likened to such recording artists as The Used, Finch, Blink 182, and even Chevelle or Thrice. After meeting with producer Teague Ridge, of the critically acclaimed band Breckinridge, East 146’s sound finally began to take it’s shape into a style that not only provides youthful energy at lives performances, but also explores the potential of combining multiple genres of music in their explosive recordings. Punk, Rock, Progressive to Emo...no recognizable style of music would be able to succinctly describe East 146 …so the industry will have to become accustom to their new and ground-breaking discipline, “East Rock”. And it is assured, once you listen to East 146, whether it is the harmonies, or beat, guitar or the vocal message, it’s guaranteed there is something about East 146 you can connect with! |
