Artist History Meridian was formed in January of 2002. Greg, Chuck, and Van have played together in different bands since '97. Meridian was formed after S-E-V-E-N's demise was classified as "Dust in the Wind". Van and Mike went on to try their own musical interest, while Greg and Chuck went on to form Meridian with Robert Ramsey on vocals. After listening to Meridian's earlier music and looking at it from the outside, Van saw that they really had something and remembered why he wanted to play with them in the firstplace. A few weeks later Mike, Van, Greg, and Chuck were back writing music with vocalist Robert Ramsey as Meridian. Recently Greg Perry decided to leave the band to pursue other interests but the remaining members continue to forge ahead, play out as much as possible, and are currently getting ready for the release of their new demo!

Press Reviews This is from TallahasseeUnderground.com Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 I have been eagerly awaiting Meridian's show for a couple of months now, and finally got the chance last Thursday at Tipper's. The band exploded from the stage with the first song of their set and I was blown away by the energy. The lead singer, Robert, has incredible passion and strong vocals. He demonstrated a wide range of tempo. Van, the drummer kept up the hard hitting rhythm through out the show. Michael and Richard, the guitarists, were intense. Meridian's music is surprisingly polished and has great potential. The only complaint, it ended too soon! I consider myself a loyal fan from this point on. You can catch their next show in Thomasville on the 25th, at Rick's Oyster Bar along with Hand Honey.
