Artist History
Savage’s attraction to music and performing came at the early age of 5, learning and belting out Neil Diamond's Song Sung Blue to anyone who would listen. Beginning to play the flute at the age of 8, Savage participated in jazz band and jazz choir, receiving several awards throughout elementary, junior high and high school for flute and vocal performances. Joining her first band as a backup singer in 1997, Savage quickly learned the ropes and branched out to help start and front the band, RadioStar in 1999. RadioStar had much success, selling over 2,500 albums, representing the northwest in the Jim Beam 2001 Rock Band Search, and completing five West Coast tours. RadioStar broke up in the spring of 2002, but Savage continued to play and released her first solo CD, "This World" in August of 2002.
. "This World" is full of emotions, intense, and overflows with a dynamic blend of guitars, bass, and drums, performed by a collection of powerful musicians including; Zak Melang of The Super Sonic Soul Pimps, and The Black Vinyl All-Stars, Mike Stone of Crack Sabbath, Glenn Cannon of Windowpane, Adam Stackpole of Point 1, and Mesa of Madison and The Black Vinyl All-Stars. As well as Savage’s regular bandmates, Dylan Fant (drums), Mike Williams (guitar), and Jeremiah Schultz (bass). Live, and in the studio, Savage and her band perform with an energy and honesty that is both captivating and personal.
Savage has played such prestigious rooms as The Hard Rock Cafe in Denver, Los Angeles, and Maui. As well as The Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, and The Roseland Theater in Portland. Savage has been featured on Q 13’s morning show and in several festivals, including the 2003 Apple Blossom Festival, 2002 SongsAlive Expo in Los Angeles, The Bite of Seattle 2000, 2001, & 2002, GoGirlsMusic Festival 2001, The Northwest Music Fest 2001, Seattle's University Street Fair 2001 & 2002, The Freemont Fair, Arlington Garlic Festival 2001 & 2002, and The Angel-Citi Film & Music Festival 1999.

Press Reviews
Jennife"Savage’s debut, This World, evokes smoke-filled scenes with dimmed lights,
sticky floors and the smell of alcohol on a neighbor’s breath amid a multitude of hip-
swaying rockers."
-Jennifer Lloyd, University of Washington - The Daily 8-21-02
This is pop ratcheted up a couple of notches, with its roots in rock and loaded with
intense emotion. Savage unabashedly reveals herself - her personality and her take on life
- in the lyrics that she writes and in her performances on stage.
-Maggie Larrick, Queen Anne/Magnolia News 8-14-02
Savage is Sultry, Full of emotions, and Musically Inclined. This is a dynamic blend of musicians with a great vocalist (Jennifer Savage). I would definitely be wasting my breath telling you how good this band is. Well, what the heck, they “KICK ASS”!
-MQ Editor Musiq Queen Magazine 12-12-01
Savage’s Second Release, Movin’ On, is a great five song EP showcasing the talents of this 5 piece group. What really captivates me about this (music) is the great bass grooves, slick guitars and Savage’s voice. This is a band to watch out for!
-Madalyn Sklar GoGirlsMusic 12-07-01
One of the most proficient bands making it in show business today, Savage is ready to take that next step to stardom. Every member of this Seattle based quintet is a seasoned professional adept in his/her trade. With (this) wide array of talent, there is no question why they possess such a diverse, multi-styled genre of rock!
- Alex Abercrombie Funky Rock News 11-15-01
“It’s hard to escape a comparison to Ani DiFranco when dealing with an all-female lineup, but with … Jennifer Savage, the parallel is justified. Rolling acoustic guitars and a breathless stream of ranting vocals put … in line with DiFranco and other like-minded and energetic coffee house divas.”
- Laura Learmonth The Seattle Weekly for GoGirlsMusic 9-29-01
“Jennifer Savage puts on an energetic, commanding performance. Don’t be fooled by her exposed midriff and long blond hair, she is no teeny-popper pop princess with a mic. This chick rocks….(this is) a high energy, audience friendly show that would rival any band playing the same type of tunes. The lyrical content of (her) originals have quite a bit of substance and seem pretty personal compared to the ever-so-common baby, baby over produced pop-rock norm of current main stream. (Her) style would be called rock, but it definitely has a radio-friendly pop foundation. That’s not to say that it lacks intensity.”
