Artist History
When the Chicago-based punk band UMJAK disbanded in the late 90's, guitarist K.P.L. (also formerly of the Feedbacks and The Elastic Waste Band) needed a new outlet for his "music." So, he began writing some new tunes, arranging and recording them at home. Chordata is the result of those home recording sessions. Incidentally, the name "Chordata" is not only the scientific classification of vertebrates, but it also represents the manner in which these songs were created. Chord + Data = Guitar + Computer. There you have it. |
