At just 23, Andy Shelton of Salt Lake City, Utah, has truly separated himself from the crowd with his unique and complex chord shapes and voicings. He manages to string an endless number of eccentric yet beautiful shapes together to form his own brand of jazz-blues-rhythm-rock. Andy has not only impressed the scene as a guitarist but his songwriting has received praise as well. Event News Weekly calls it "...Possibly the best written in the state". Some notable gigs include a performance on fox 13's morning television program Good Day Utah, the NuSkin world of Ice show for the 2002 Olympics, and opening for Peter Brienholt at the 2002 Freedom Festival. With his six piece jam band MOSURE, Andy has played at the Zephyr Club, Port-O-Call, and the Dead Goat Saloon to name a few. All of which host big name national acts on a nightly basis. He has also built a huge fan base on all of the local university campuses. Mosure placed first out of fifty at the 2000 Battle of the Bands at Brigham Young University and has received substantial air play on Weber States 88.1 KWCR including a live in-studio acoustic set and interview. Andy has recorded four self-produced demos over the last two years and is currently looking for backing to produce a full album that can be released on a national scale. The hallmark of Andy Shelton's music is that it is unique and yet marketable. His music is smart. His guitar style is rare. He sings as well as he plays.
