Artist description
Simplemasks is the brainchild of Seattle composer Daylon C. Walden as a medium to release his collections of fictional soundtrack music and sound collages. Filtered through a plethora of musical influences, Simplemasks’ music crosses through many genres and therefore defies classification. Call it what you will: electronic, electric, jazz, rock, psychedelic, cinematic, ambient or noise. Simplemasks are the unknown faces that walk among you and the music that wears many guises. |

Artist History
Simplemasks began in 1994 as Monologue City, a medium for which to release spoken word recordings with a music background. Composer and Sound Designer Daylon C. Walden took a job working for a Seattle recording studio and began to realize his dream of releasing his own material. After a few years as Monologue City, Daylon started Simplemasks, an eclectic styled one-man band with an ever-revolving cast of contributing musicians. This new direction became more instrumental in nature and better suited to Daylon’s musical interests. Simplemasks continue to release recordings out of a home studio in the Seattle area, doing it all yourself is the wave of the future. |
