Artist description
Some of us yearn for good music. The good stuff. Some of us crave to hear it on the airways, we long to hear something refreshing, intelligent, possibly challenging. A lot of the stuff we listen to now has no consequence. Not for us, not even for those that wrote it. Played by no one, for no one. Not for a time, not for a place, not for a season. No reason, no meaning, no value. It is so devoid of content that we don't even feel offended or violated by it. We just don't feel at all.
Behold, a recording that means something. A band that has intention, and interior. There's something inside. Purpose. Leo Nine is a new band, with a debut EP that is full of life, and heart. They know how to craft songs, and they are delivered beautifully by vocalist Caleb James. There are stories inside the songs, and lives behind the stories. There is some breadth in these songs. There is a little chaos, a little tenderness, but mostly energy, beauty and melody. A band in a room; real people in real relationships making real music. You sense that the music is not just about where it could take them, but also where it could take you.
Listen to this music, see if you feel something. You don't have to tell anyone. Just take some time, and listen. That is what music is for. |
