Artist description
Last Off The Bus is a punk band that started on September 11, 2001, yes, right after the incident in New York. They have made music from all types of punk: Crust, Emo(for David), Skate, and thrash. They do not stick to one type of punk rock and they definately have their own sound... Especially with Ryan's voice... |

Artist History
Septermber 11, 2001. David and Ryan sit near eachother in algebra class (4th period) and make jokes about the tacher all period. David talks about how his band, Blame Chris, isn't really going anywhere because his guitarist isn't committed, but he and his drummer are. Ryan's band, Your Momma's and Their Poppas, was breaking up because their drummer was going to college. After class, Dave sees Jeff(Tim) his drummer, and tells him about this new kid in school, Ryan. Jeff is like, let's go, and Dave told Ryan that they were now in a new band.
A name. David took the school bus everyday from LAX to Hollywood and ryan came from West Hills everyday. It was a bitch because they had to wake up at 4:45 A.M. and how it was lonely because they were the first ones on the bus and they slept the whole way. Lo and behold, First On The Bus was the band name for a while. But David had a diffrent way of seeing things. A punk band would want to be last, and they were LAST OFF the bus, so Dave told ryan that Last Off The Bus sounded better. And it did. Then a year later, after jamming with a few really great guitarists, the boys stumbled upon something on the floor, and it was a guy named Arlen and we handed this accomplished bass player a guitar and said, "now play scales and make us sound better" and after being in the band a year and entering the studio with us, he did make us sound better.. but did not prevent me from writing run-on sentences... |
