Artist History
Started in 1997 with rough demos done by Matthew Sturgeon(Matthew Fabulous) with a primitive sequencer and keyboard.Later they took on an even stranger form introducing William Manke(Electric Bill) to the line up, they began creating songs on a vintage woodgrain casio lyrics about drug dealers at the holiday inn, door-to-door salesmen, driving around in a toyota, and manta rays hurling along the ocean floor became quite abundant. Following the "Casio Bastards" phase they began writing more complex songs with swarming string melodies analog blips and early 80's synth pop drum beats the band was finally coming into their own. Unfortunately Matthew pursued a career in horror flicks at the art institute of Pittsburgh Bill then moved to New Mexico to pursue cactai. Aproximately one year later the two reformed in the very place it all started, Kent Ohio. Now adding even more madness to the mix with samples from films and bringing guitar and electric bass in they provided themselves with the moniker dbo The Demo Button Orchestra, The worlds first New-Rave Synth-Hop band. |
