Artist description
Hover, a band inhabiting the Los Angeles local scene, writing music that everyone will claim they were “into before the band was huge.” With a willingness to experiment, Hover jumps from moody and melodic, to aggressive and thick in the matter of one short set. Their dense sound sometimes surprises listeners when they discover the band is a trio comprised of guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. Formed just a over 3 years ago, Hover has had time to create and fine tune well over two hours of original material, gain plenty of live experience, and nurture their desire to succeed.
Hover hails from a real city- Chicago where they began a disturbing romp through 3 or 4 different names heading to L.A. only after they had confused and confounded their ever-growing fan base. With their new and final name in place, Hover has gathered a following of SoCal fans who were lucky enough to catch their spring 2001 series of shows that blasted from the Roxy in Hollywood to the Next Door Bar & Grill in Orange County. In the year following these rowdy shows Hover has taken the time to work on their demo and get their website Hoverband.com up and running.
Having put the final pieces in place to begin a manic assault on the rock world Hover is now preparing to kick L.A.’s ass with a super summer of shows. So, keep an eye and an ear out for Hover, eventually they’ll play somewhere near you and you’ll have to ask your mom if you can stay out late on a school night.
