Artist History
California, the home to Hollywood, the LA Lakers,
San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Somewhere between these two cities of culture
and entertainment lays an area of cheap real
state, plentiful vegetation, dairy cows and
for the most part nothing to do. But fear not,
from the ashes of this cultural wasteland a new
being, begins to take shape. Four men have embarked on a journey, a quest to
conquer and rid the valley of boredom or escape only
to preserve their sanity. Four strange companions have
united and banded under one name to form the legend that
will be known as Crazyer Than Winfield. A combination of
many different musical styles Crazyer Than Winfield came from a very humble beginning. A group of friends tired of constant routine of a Friday night decided to walk into the countryside, eventually landing on the bank of a canal where they sat down. Two friends (Jason and Dustin) who had brought their guitars began to play to try and entertain their audience. Eventually this became a routine and night after night the friends gathered by the canal to talk, listen and enjoy the atmosphere. Wanting to expand their horizons and try something on a larger scale they began to try and find a drummer. Jason who knew a friend that had a drum set (Chalo) asked if he’d like to play sometime. So armed with only with two practice amps a very basic knowledge of music and a drum set the trio set up and began to play in Chalo’s room. Night after night the trio practiced bombarding the Verla household with the sounds of horror. One month later things actually began to come together. The trio was still in search of their fourth member. After asking a friend (Brian Dean from Killing Issaic these guys kick ass!) they met up with Winslow Lowe. Moving from practice amps in Chalo’s room to half stacks in a bigger practice pad (thanks to a friend) the foursome began to work on improving their sound. Winslow provided a fuller sound to the trio and provided new ideas to add to their songs. A few weeks later they made their debut with Killing Issaic, nervous but anxious the four did well for their first show. Since than the four began to come closer together as a band, developed devoted fans, played other shows and they continue to improve. They are working to overcome their only obstacle at the moment (the police department) so that they can practice more. So if you ever see a Crazyer Than Winfield flier in your town you should go check them out you might like what you hear. For right now download one of their songs.
