Artist description
If you draw a musical triangle whose points are Bob Dylan, Stephen Stills, and Paul Simon, I'd like to think I'm somewhere inside it. You will find a lot of flavors in my music -- rock, folk, country, and blues -- but they're all informed by a deep love of pop music. Over the years I have realized I'm a lyricist first. I like to use common ideas and turns of phrase, but spin them in new ways. I try to convey emotional impact in my songs and create a subtle sense of intimacy. |
