    Artist History
Just finished a quick tour of UK clubs in Preston, Harrogate and Dunfries over the Christmas/New Year holiday break. That was great fun and the audiences were in fine form - if a little boisterous! Summer 2001 saw me in Hiroshima, Japan singing with a talented musician called Tristan McMillan in a large open-air restaurant called the Budweiser Bar - part of one of the largest entertainment companies in Japan - and we were the Budweiser Band! I had to learn some Japanese pretty quick but I soon got the hang of what the Japanese kids wanted. They were great and we had a lot of fun. In 2000, I spent the summer season in Menorca performing solo in a vocal/karaoke act in the island's hotels and apartment clubs. Learnt pretty good Spanish in four months and loved the sun. Spent Christmas 2000 as a Bluecoat entertainer at Pontins, Camber Sands, UK. That was where I really started to learn how to work with an audience. The place was packed for the Christmas/Millenium break and the audience of over 1000 pretty roudy! Talk about a baptism of fire! Before that, I was finishing my Performing Arts Course at Horsted College, Kent. While studying for my HND, I performed as lead vocalist in various local concerts including: An AIDS fund-raising concert at Rochester Cathedral in 1997 A series of public concerts in St George's, Chatham School and college concerts included: Mulan: A children's show written around Disney's animation and involving puppetry, singing, dancing and acting. Performed in front of children at hospital wards and special needs centres. Other college dramatic performances devised by the group around a book or theme including: 'On the Brink of Existence': a gothic drama based on Mary Shelly's 'Frankenstein'. Played one of the supporting characters and also helped to write the script. Happy Fekkin' Families: Irish naturalistic comedy based around an Irish family. This piece was improvised and performed without a script. I played the leading role of the mother. Shinju: Japanese love story, performed entirely through dance and movement. I also played main character and helped choreograph the dance.
