Artist History The band was established in 1995 by Valtteri Sahala and Iivari Järvensivu. In 1997 guitarist Lasse Heikkilä joined the band and the band was named Apathy. In 1998 Heikkilä was replaced by Toni Salminen. Bass player Antti Aro joined the band in 1997. Apathy changed their name into Exapathy when they released their first CD-EP in the late 1999. The reason why the name had to be changed was that there are couple of other bands called Apathy around the world.
