Artist History TRUE AGE is a recording duo that records only live and spontaneous, improvisational performances in the recording studio, with minimal overdubs! Begun in 1998 by Andrew Szava-Kovats of Data-Bank-A fame, and George Koumantzelis of Aeolian Kid fame, TRUE AGE is a unique blend of both the character and talents of these two, highly creative individuals. Both Andrew and George continue to pursue their own, individual, musical projects and paths... In Andrew's case, they are: ASK, Data-Bank-A, Dominion, and Parade of Sinners, as well as other, numerous collaborations with artists and musicians that he has worked with over the years (such as: Christopher Elston, Kristina "Moose" McInerney, Scott Richards, Dave Dodson, and Compound - to name just a few)... In George's case, they are: Abstract Orangutans, Aeolian Kid, Barefoot Nunus, The Basement Beats, Headband, Landing In Libra, and The Woodshed Grunts, as well as other, numerous collaborations with artists and musicians that he has worked with over the years (such as: Johnny Butler, Alex Michaels, Al Moody, The Duffer Zone, and PUSH - to name just a few)... Both Andrew and George use their own, digital, recording equipment to capture and create the sounds they are trying to communicate to their listening audience. Also, both are poets and of a philosophical mindset. Andrew paints. George does photography... When they come together as TRUE AGE, a new sound is always born into the world!

Group Members TRUE AGE is: Andrew Szava-Kovats on all electronic keyboards and synthesizers; and George Koumantzelis on all acoustic drums and percussion. Both individuals know how to manipulate and play with the sophisticated gizmos and gadgets of the modern recording studio, but both would also acknowledge that the sound from the creative source must come first before it can be enhanced. Their coming together is one voice of that source. ... May the Muse be with them - always!
