Artist description
Tearing into the Bay Area, CA scene in January 1999, Mr. Roper have carved out a niche for themselves by refusing to imitate the current crop of sound-alikes that dominate the scene. Consisting of Mike Garnica (guitar/vocals), Dave Craig (bass), and Andy G. (drums), Mr. Roper's sound embodies the intensity of bands like Pantera, Motorhead and Machine Head while embracing the punk aesthetic of bands like the Misfits and S.O.D. |

Artist History
Having provided main support for various local and national acts such as PUYA, Security and True to Form, Mr. Roper recently recorded a 5-song demo release at Trident Studios in Concord, CA. Songs like "How to Make a Serial Killer, "Minor Threat and "Go Postal are topical reflections of the world we live in: a world made up of high school mass-murderers, disgruntled 9-to-5ers, and kids who have been pushed too far by a social hierarchy that doesn't tolerate misfits. Fitting, then, that the members of Mr. Roper embrace a culture that refuses to follow the norm, and makes a statement on its own terms. |
