Artist description
Some say, "His shitz are totally insane." Some say, "He's got mad midi skillz..." One of his friends says, "Yeah, finally a song that I can relax and get laid to..." No matter what you hear about MIDI MASTA jointz, there's no doubt his shits are, in fact, dangerous. Experiences in various places like Japan (14 years), Malaysia (1 year) and the U.S. (6 years) had influenced his style of music.
Moving around the globe from one place to another like a nomad, Kohei (MIDI MASTA) started writing and producing music for his own enjoyment when he was in San Diego, California. He started out with some cheap equipments and softwares like Midisoft Recording Session, Voyetra Orchestrator, and Yamaha XG Soundboard. In the year 1998, he gathered some of his friends from Southern California and formed, "Cyber Xs," an internet based band. In spite of the fact that they never practiced nor played live (they just recorded using Kohei's comp), some of the songs by Cyber Xs (all produced by Kohei) managed to run up to top of the charts on MP3.COM (ex: "Cyber Files" - NO.3 on Hardcore Punk Chart, "Greedy Skeleton" - NO.3 on Hardcore Punk Chart, "Turns Me On" - NO.3 on Hardcore Punk Chart, "Cyber Files (I Am Gonna Remix)" - NO.1 on Illibient Chart).
Kohei is still brining strange flavored joints to the world, while attending a university in Tokyo, Japan. He recently upgraded his studio, and is working on his next album, "Look What You Made Me Do." |
