Press Reviews Raw 42 Review:Creation is trip hop at its best. this tune just slithers and meanders along with amazing use of pads, percussion, beats and a great vocal sample proclaiming, "you can’t learn jazz in school or college, it’s something you live and experience." and that’s what this tune is about, living. it breathes softly as it moves and you really do get the feeling of something stirring, creation is taking place. meridian is inspired by the likes of dj shadow, tricky & faith massive, trip, etc. and emulates pieces of all their styles wonderfully. i could easily hear tricky dropping some mellow lyrics over the jazzy, spaced out beat. the production is perfect. one definite download if you love that trip hop sound. oasis (vocal mix) just oozes class and smothers you with it throughout the track. what a wonderful journey back for me to the first outings of dnb maestro's "omni trio." this dnb outing has huge pads with layer upon layer of sounds, all blending together to perfection. it’s those haunting childlike singing voices wandering around the tune that just mesmerizes, just wonderful. the talent of this man’s vision in creating audio landscapes is stunning. oasis (vocal mix) is one of those tracks that could easily have been added to "the beach" soundtrack, you could imagine yourself anywhere tranquil listening to this number. there’s morphing, flanging beats, programmed to omni trio perfection and accompanied by a very subtle piano line, which work together in great harmony.
