    Artist History
When I was young I took piano lessons. Of course, taking piano lessons does not always guarantee success, and as a result I was pretty bad. After playing for a few years, I stopped and didn't touch an instrument for over three years. Then we got a new computer, and some basic sequencing software was included with the soundcard. I played around with it, and my interest kept growing. I started playing the piano again. I started getting feedback on my music. After investing in some new hardware and software I've continued to push the limits of my music with every new song.

From GodsOfMusic.com (on "State of Mind"): This tune is good. It starts off with very smooth background synths, transitioning from sweetness to darkness. The drums come in and are a nice surprise; they consist of good breakbeats that don't remain stationery. You do get the standard filtered squiggly synth, but it's not disconcerting in any way. Another very strong element is the fact that the tune becomes slightly "oriental" in nature later on. Here the composer goes wild and does a nice freestyle synth-solo on eastern scales. Pretty good. A relatively large number of elements are mixed into this song, and the transitions are executed relatively well; though a couple of them could be done slightly better. The background synths are relaxing, soothing, occassionally even somewhat menacing. The chord sequence is thus delivered well, though it does not change much throughout the song. I liked the drums very much. They shift, vary, calm down and start afresh in a very pleasing manner. The arrangement is good, too. The harmonies are not very standard, but they are still pleasing. At some point it gets pretty complex, but it still manages to sound right. However, there is not any actual progression and it sounds like the chord sequence is repeating itself all the time. Overall, it is a nice relaxing tune; it definitely won't make you go 'wow' but you won't have a problem listening to it either, as it doesn't really have any technical flaws. Plus, the musical layering is re-ordered and changed often enough so that it doesn't become boring. You might even enjoy it.
