Artist History
KaRIZZ started out first singing in the gospel
choir at the age of eight. As the years went by,
he began taking his gift seriously. In addition
to the Church, he started performing at various
clubs and talent shows. These performances were
met with excitement, leading to higher exposure
gigs, including Bill Clintons '92 presidential
inauguration, opening up for B.B. King, Jennifer
Holliday, Temptations and The Four Tops. Also
Bointer Pointer from the Pointer Sisters, Thelma
Houston and Motown legend Jackie Moore.
KaRIZZ was also fortunate to travel in the year
1996 overseas to Paris with his band to tour at
various cities throughout France as well as Italy.
Then, returning to America, he was given the
opportunity to perform at one of his favorite
spots - the Apollo Theater in New York City.
In 1997 KaRIZZ moved to Washington D.C. where
BET (Black Entertainment Television) is located
and was chosen to be one of BET dancers. As well as having some great parts in the movie "The next Karate Kid-Part IV", he also opened for some of the newer artists such as Montell Jordan, Total, Marian Carey, The Lox, L.L. Cool J., and Destinys Child.
In August 1998 he moved to Boston in order to attend the world renowned Berklee College of Music. Contacts made here led him to another tour to Germany to contribute on a CD called "Three on the Moon", by the "Jazz Pistols and released on the "Lipstick" label. |
