FAT NOGIN CIVILIANZ is the umbrella that encompasses some of Virginia’s hottest artist. FAT NOGIN CIVILIANZ released their self-titled effort in the summer of 1998. The local buzz was tremendous among Hip-Hop purist and has grown to the group being a household name in the Hampton Roads area. Now that the masses are finally recognizing this unique and multi-talented outfit their new album “Civil War” will serve as the new standard for Virginia Hip Hop. The crew is a regular fixture at the local Hip-Hop events Word of Mouth and Hip-Hop Universal in Norfolk and will be touring college campuses for the promotion of their upcoming release. The individual groups unique blend of styles and music make them distinctly different and able to hold things down more than sufficiently on there own. From the smoked out Hip-Hop and jazz fusion of Exstra Black Adishon on their forthcoming release “The Struggle Upwards” in which the dynamic duo drops jewel after jewel with a combination of abstract flows and unique word play. To the highly anticipated in your face style of EYECON, whose booming rhyme style and mastery of the emcee art form is legendary amongst peers in their area. Doorable Freqwency’s super tag team is just that. Round after round of nonstop rhymes that are intended for only one purpose, to puncture the dome of “unofficial mic controllers”. Their true to the underground sound will be compared to no one and serve as the next level for the underground. Verbatim and NON*A*MES round out the FAT NOGIN CIVILIANZ family.
