Artist History in the summer of '96, land made the astounding discovery that he could record multiple tracks onto a tape with his karaoke machine. fueled by boredom and generally poor judgement, he gathered all the instruments or potential instruments he could find in his house: a dilapidated drum kit, a "sip n' sing" microphone/mug, an out-of-tune acoustic guitar, a pair of scissors, a trash can, a kazoo, major morgan (a musical toy by the playschool corporation), the mysterious one-stringed instrument, a miniature plastic guitar, a television, and a 16 year old accumulation of bitter resentment. the only instrument he really knew how to play was the drums. the guitar parts were played with a pair of scissors as a slide, because hey, chords are hard to play. some songs were written beforehand, some improvised right after the record button was pressed. and thus was born land's million dollar karaoke spectacular.
