Alaya's music has a very powerful energy, energy that will reform your experiences and feelings. His first album, "Play of Opposites" is on sale now. In this album he shows opposite sides of our life and their interplay. The contrast between the subtle and the crude, love and evil are the main themes of his music. That is why most of the compositions have two parts to them. Compositions differ from each other drastically, and that is why it is very important you should listen to all of them. For instance, in "Civilization and Nature" he shows how our civilization suffocates us by taking away our spiritual identities, whereas nature provides us with a sense of unity and peace. In “Pathless Path”, he describes that when you live your life believing in the divine energy of God, your Path leads you to the ocean of beatitude and love. This music is multidimensional, unique and captivating. Every composition is a whole poem that is able to touch your feelings and perceptions. It is full of special effects and experimental combinations of different sounds. Artist History
His real name is Alexander Lesnykh, and he was born in Russia on April 7th of 1957. Alaya is his pseudonym, which in translation from Sanskrit means "the Soul of the Universe". He has been playing music all his life, and his education includes completion of a music school specializing in piano, and graduating college with a major in conductoring. After graduation he played keyboard, sang, composed music, and wrote song lyrics for the rock groups "Slidie" and "Chain Reaction". However, after quitting "Chain Reaction", he couldn't play music for 5 years. He writes music that not only gives people high energy, but also enlighten their being. Through meditation and working with sounds and vibrations, he came to realize how these sounds can help transmit different kinds of energy to the human body and extend one's consciousness. The music he writes is a new form of New Age Music, which has a high level of energy, and encompasses the vastness and multi-dimensions of space.

"Alaya's Play of Opposites is a great new age CD. The CD's title is perfectly suited for the music. Track 7, Civilization and Nature is a perfect example. While at first the song is fast paced and demanding, it soon slows and the melodies of crickets and songs of frogs are introduced. Personally I think this endeavor is a great accomplishment for Alaya and will enjoy relaxing to Play of Opposites in the future." -andrea at WWW.FLICKMUSIC.COM
