Artist History
Formed in 2000, singer/guitarist Marcum Stewart, bassist Steve Smith, drummer Jim Orman and guitarist Matt Latham forge an original and stunning sound in the Nashville rock scene with subsonic. Combining countless diverse influences and setting no limitations on style and creativity, they compose catchy melodic tunes driven by thunderous rhythms and soaked in heavy distortion. Their lyrics speak on countless personal issues, universal themes and bring hope to the rock fanatics everywhere. They opened for Jackyl at the popular 328 Performance Hall, they won a local Battle of the Bands at the Outer Limit and they are still #1 on RollingStone.com’s chart of downloaded tracks by unsigned rock artists. They play for the people in all ways possible, including donating proceeds from their shows to the family of a 9/11 NY firefighter and traveling as far as Iowa to appease their fans with their energetic live shows. Dedicated and talented, subsonic is the future of indescribable, fun-loving rock n’ roll.
