Artist History After playing their first show in the spring of 2001 .drop six. has continuously recieved invitations to play shows in their hometown of Seattle and all over the West Coast. There has been enormous response and people have been coming out in numbers constantly on the rise to check them out live. From sharing a bill with bands like Mudvayne and Trust Company to opening for Twiztid and Ron Jeremy, .drop six. receives unbelievable crowd response at every show they play, as the exchange of intense energy between the audience and the stage keeps both the band and the fans wanting more. The release of their 3 song demo caused an even more overwhelming response to their presence on the scene and the word has been spreading like wildfire. Radio stations reaching places spread as far as Tacoma and Spokane, Washington to Louisville, Kentucky and Guam have been indulging their listeners by spinning the .drop six. disc, which the band recorded at Robert Lang Studios and Rick Parishar's London Bridge Studio in Seattle with Producer Geoff Ott. It is being recognized that .drop six. is not just hype. They have so much more to offer than the fact that their line up consists of three members from each of two bands that were among Seattle's favorites in the local scene's recent history, and more to offer than the fact that there is a gorgeous, dread-locked girl in the band ripping on the guitar with more style and skill than most guys could ever dream to. They simply rock. With six band members and their explosive live show .drop six. projects extraordinary amounts of energy in every song they play. Seeing the potential to reach levels of musical creativity and intuition beyond any they had experienced before, three individuals from the now defunct, Seattle based bands Local 808 and BuKu FuNGi came together to create a new form of expression with each other. That potential became what is now .drop six. Having chosen their name based on the idea that there is no commonly associated meaning, the band has a sound all its own. A name like this suits them well, since there is no commonly associated reference as to other bands they may sound like. While there is an abundance of musical influences collectively shared by the members of .drop six., fans of .drop six. all seem to have different reasons for loving their music and seem to find different aspects about the band appealing. Everyone gets something different from each song and everyone comes away from the live show having seen it differently than the person they were standing next to. However, they all agree that .drop six. has a powerful presence as well as a powerful sound, which is becoming more defined with each new song they write.
