Artist description We are now four people from Wisconsin extremely interested in writing expressive, enjoyable rock music. We live all around the country and get together to play shows and record.

Musical Influences Violent Femmes, Flaming Lips, Ramones and Led Zepplin.

Similar Artists Flaming Lips and Wilco. But mostly ourselves.

Artist History Founded in 1994, with a slightly larger line-up, Bartleby and the Scribners had gigs before we had instruments. We developed by playing live in Madison, Wisonsin regularly for 3 years, then at 1st Avenue in Minnesota and around the Midwest. We now spend more time recording than playing live.

Group Members Bob Andreasen-- Currently in San Antonio, TX. Guitarist with newfound vocal talents. Bart Cameron-- Currently in Brooklyn, NY. Vocals, bass and harmonica and a very small amount of guitar and percussion. Kevin Firchow-- Currently in Madison, WI. Drums, percussion, vocals, some guitar, recorder, slide whistle and other things. Andy Ives-- Currently in Oshkosh, WI. Guitars, vocals. And we're all close friends.
