Artist description
ZEROSTATION is a cross-pollination writing effort between singer/rhythm guitarist Brian Burke and lead guitarist Rodney Shelden Fehsenfeld, bringing together old notions of Minneapolis garages in a somewhat sober twist with Chicago indie noise pop. With melodic guitars and unlikely hooks that are as frequently used as the burnt sienna crayon in dark pop landscapes for kids,ZEROSTATION begs listeners and audiences not to sip the melody, but to drink up and smile.

Brian Burke (singer/rhythm) guitar was bred in Seattle and raised on 4-track. Playing in local bands such as Blue Gum Road, American Junk and LDopa, he cut his teeth in the Northwest indie post-punk garage scene, but has now replaced them with sure-shine, achin-to-be dentures for the new era.
Rodney Shelden Fehsenfeldlead (guitar) hails from Chicago. Having played in a number of bands that toured the U.K. and the States, he showcased his wares on multiple occasions at the CMJ and SXSW seminars, though his bands The Ultraviolet and Ghost Swami never signed to majors. However, The Ultraviolet did release an E.P. via Pinnacle/EMI in the U.K. In between writing and recording, you can see Rodney relieving himself around the streets of old Ballard, pretending to care about his day-gig.
Jeffrey Sparks (bass) formerly of Seattle's Big Sister and Capitol Records' Thurn & Taxis, serves North Carolinan via Nashville, heart on your sleeve bass lines that taste good with any dish.
Heinz Schuller (drums) recently emigrated from Chicago as well. Working with Rodney in what was described as the "musicians' rock band" H.O.M.E., he became a staple in the Midwest towns he toured through, known for his dry wit, hard hit, and fill-less flavor.
