Artist History
Once upon a time there were two guys in the age of 13 years. Precisely it was 1th August 1993 when those boys named Max Krach and Stephan Suske met for the first time to play music together. From this day the basement of Stephan’s parents in Karlsfeld was the place to be. Well, the neighbours didn’t think so, but who cares…
Some weeks later another member joined those meetings and the second guitar player in the person of Dominik Stenger was found. In that group of three people we raped everything single peace of music that came to our minds and that selection was incredible: Guns’n’Roses, Rolling Stones, Guns’n’Roses, Rolling Stones…
The day of the big change came when Gernot Krebs completed the band by playing bass in 1994. The first Mongrel-Songs joined this earth, and though noone realized the music became quicker and quicker, Gernot’s hidden influence took us by storm. After losing our live-virginity during the legendary Kompost-Tour in Dominik’s garden the gap between him and the rest of the band increased constantly because we wanted to play even faster than we did that time (looking at it now that was fuckin’ slow) in contrast to Mr. Stenger.
So in 1998 we couldn’t avoid kickin’ him out and starting to search for a new gitarrero. He was found when we remembered the guitar player of a band, we had played a concert together a year ago, Tobias Weber. After some rehearsals we knew he was the perfect 4th piece of Mongrel and that day we kicked all the cover songs out of our program. This was probably the real beginning of Mongrel.
Since that day we wrote about 40 songs, played about 60 concerts (e.g. support band for de Heideroosjes in Ebersberg, Down by Law and Union13 in Schweinfurt and NVU in Czech Republic) and recorded three albums. |

It´s Max who is singing and playing the guitar.
Then there´s Gernot who´s playing the bass guitar, is singing and shouting a little bit.
We got Tobi. He´s also playing the guitar.
And last but not least and never to forget there´s our personal drum machine called Stephan. |
