Artist History LIFE SENTENCE is a five piece band that combines the speed and tech of a metal band with the brutal breakdowns of a hardcore band. With that all in place, and a horrifying live show, LIFE SENTENCE is one violent, heavy, brutal band. LIFE SENTENCE started in the late summer of 2000 as Downwire. Downwire played some shows, and recorded a cd. However, after many line up changes, and a complete 180 in sound we decided to change our name, because we really weren't downwire any more.
