Artist description
Sixteen-year-old Jessica Hannan from north central Ohio is a dynamic singer who embodies a "voice that is beyond her years" and is making a name for herself in the country music world. In spring of 2003, she released her first CD, titled "First Flight," and WNCO-FM 101.3 began playing the first single titled "One of Those Days." The CD features 12 songs, including 10 originals, several of which were written by Jessica. Jessica's career took off early in 2002 after she was named winner of Sonic Records' International Talent Search competition.
By winning this event, she was signed as a Sonic Records' recording artist and received the opportunity to record a song in the Sonic Records studio in North Carolina. Her Sonic Records's single, "Here Again," was played on a number of radio stations throughout the country. Now, she has been performing throughout the state for the past two summers -- singing at fairs and festivals. Earlier this year, she opened for Curb recording artist Jeff Carson. She is also spending time in Nashville, Tenn., and is studying voice under the renowned Renee Grant-Williams in Nashville.
Jessica has a number of shows available, ranging from a performance of original and cover songs with her six-member band to an all-acoustic concert with her guitar player.
In addition to performing, Jessica is spending a lot of time writing and recording songs for her first CD, which will be released in 2003.
Her goal is to get as much exposure in the country music world as possible. All of this reaffirms her dream -- to get an opportunity to go to Nashville and receive a recording contract to sing country music professionally. It is her passion.

Artist History
When she was born on Mother's Day in 1987, it was clear that Jessica Hannan was a special little girl. And at age 3, when she gave an
impromptu vocal and dance performance of We're Off to See the Wizard around a campfire at an adult Sunday School class social, it
was evident that she was born to be a performer.
Now, at age 16, Jessica Hannan is a talented performer with her own unique style. She is a natural who loves performing in front of large
and small audiences. She loves the stage and loves the bright lights. She features a great stage presence, a beautiful smile and a strong,
dynamic voice. So strong in fact, that the question heard most often following her performances is how can a voice like that come from
such a little body?
As a sophomore in high school, Jessica stays very busy as a member of the school choir, and making countless number of
area appearances. |

Jessica is getting much media attention in Ohio based on her songs playing on the radio and her performances throughout the state. WNCO-FM 101.3 personality Ron Colman calls Jessica a "budding star" and praises her talent. Colman has featured Jessica on his morning show several times and the station has played "Here Again" as well as "One of Those Days" from her new CD. Two area newspapers, the Ashland Times-Gazette and the Mansfield News Journal, have done several articles on Jessica and Jessica was featured in two magazines - HEET Magazine and Americana. |
