Artist description
"Music, a drive so strong that it pulls me all over the road
in a furious passion of sound and concept. Documenting my
times, the times, as I see them frozen in sudden past and
present.
Always music in my home, my family, throughout my childhood... classical
violin at age four. At age twelve, stealing my brother's acoustic guitar and
locking myself up with it, becoming melody, writing, composing, becoming
song. Then back yard parties, coffee houses, bars, clubs, theaters, always
the street. And always recording....
1st album 1995 (Loveshere)..... 2nd album 1996 (Invisible Holes) .....
3rd album 1998 (Midori Sour) .... 4th album 2001 (Politikal Havoc) with
and EP coming this year, all records self released.
In April of 2001 I left for the West coast touring, traveling gypsy style,
playing shows, playing anywhere, everywhere I could, busking on the street to
get to the next town. The ocean the cities stretching out in endless
inspiration. I intend to continue making music, daily ritual,
touring non stop in the US traveling by van and adrenaline.
Influences of folk (Bob Dylan), reggae, jazz (Nina Simone), blues, hip hop,
funk and classical music have all made their way into my percussive style of
guitar playing and descriptive soul vocals and lyrics. Also the poetry of
Rumi, Saul Williams, ee Cummins.
I write through experience and observation. Some songs come out protest
songs, some as love songs, some songs simply to sing the blues."
