Press Reviews
"Icon Slaves" was ranked #10 on the 10 best local albums for 2002 by the Denver Post.
The following is taken from the full list by Nik Groke which appeared in the 12/29/02
edition of the Denver Post.
"Denver's fine industrial tradition got a much needed
injection with this album, a chilling ambient mix of produced noise. The vocals,
barely heard when they appear, serve to layer more babble on top of an already
indistinguishable racket.
blackell won the 2001 C.U.M.A.* for best industrial/noise band.
*Colorado Underground Music Awards.
Thanks to: Our co-winners IN ETHER. Christoph Cranberri for supporting underground music. |
