Artist description
Bittersweet Manics are a breath of fresh air from the prevailing musical styles heard on most radio stations and in live venues. Bittersweet Manics draw on their many influences to create a sound that is cutting edge, original- yet familiar- contemporary rock with hints of retro, roots and guitar driven alternative rock. Led by the powerful, emotionally charged vocals of Sarah Hennesy, Bittersweet Manics have quickly garnered an audience in the Washington DC area on the strength of their live performance. Guitarist Brien Thompson and the powerhouse rhythm section of Vernon Hawkins (bass) and John Hage (drums) lay the foundation and set the groove as you take a musical journey with as many twists and turns as a roller coaster.
