Artist History
A 20 year veteran of the Austin, Texas "Music Scene"; Phil Hurd has vast performance and recording experience. He has released 2 CDs of his original songs, has received local and international airplay/reviews and has performed in Europe. His Rootsy Rock 'n Roll is largely based on his use of open G tuning and slide guitar techniques and his deep understanding of American Roots music. In Austin, Phil has led several notable bands since 1985: including The Blood Of Keith, The Deadbeats and The Elmores. He has also performed and recorded with Germany's Broken Radio and Borrowed Tunes, both of whom are on the German label Hausmusik. |
